Learn About Hidden Issues Surrounding Brain Injury at Upcoming Conference

Do you have a brain injury, or have a loved one who needs support after a TBI? Are you a professional looking for continuing education and networking opportunities? The Brain Injury Alliance of Utah is pleased to invite you to attend this year’s conference on October 24, 2014 at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center.

Our keynote speaker, Debra Braunling-McMorrow, PhD will be discussing the, “Hidden Issues and Long Term Consequences of Brain Injury.” With more than 30 published works, and years in private therapy practice and business administration for brain injury medical providers, Braunling has a unique understanding of the complex emotional, physical and financial challenges that individuals and families are faced with after a brain injury.

Break out classes include topics about life transitions, navigating through the school system as well as vocational systems, aging, neuroplasticity, guardianship, and more. You can click here to see a complete program for the conference.

Professionals in nursing, case management, speech language pathology, social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, or educators will receive CEU credits for attending.

As a parent, or other family member of an individual who has to live with a brain injury, this event may help you appreciate the support of others who have lived through similar challenges. You are not alone in your journey after a brain injury, to find happiness, peace and productivity.

A silent auction, exhibitor’s hall, and community resource table will provide networking, fundraising and connections for everyone in attendance.
